The rocking chair is empty
A mother sits a cries
A father's arms are aching
And empty of a life.

The house comtains a hollow
The children silent play
Sensing grief and sorry
Has taken place today.

The womb is not yet barren
But life has ceased to live
The fighting chance has vanished
And can no longer give.

No medicine or doctor
Could make the baby well
There was no chance for healing
Within the tiny cells.

Recovery will linger
Brokenness will heal
But always empty barren
Is what our hearts will feel.

ded. to my brother and his family.
