SATAN LIVES
I'm a child

I'm a wild child

I grow in you

I'm a growth in you

You think I want your soul

You're falling down a hole
There at the bottom
The lowest level
Very nice to meet you
I'm the DEVIL
Crawl
Beg
You get pain
I bite off your leg
Scream loud
I smile at your songs
You can never leave
Let's drink to your wrongs
Burn
Look up at me
I grow from your anger
Your family is in danger
Sins
I forgive you for your sins
My soul forgives
SATAN LIVES

Firstly, I really like your name!
Secondly, I'm a bit stupid and don't understand the title of this poem
Thirdly, I like the poem. There are fiends hiding in all of us.

Dark stuff here, Insect.  I believe if you ask any Christian, they will confirm that Satan does indeed live...and walks the earth claiming souls.  Others believe there is no Satan....only an evil presence that resides in all of us, fighting a battle with the good that resides there also.  I believe your poem captures both believers very well.  Thanks.....Hardrock
(PS to Uta...the title is "Our Father" backwards...a blaspheme to God)

Iotharingia…insect thanks you
Well the tittle is "SANTAN LIVES" when your
submitting a poem they ask for a subject, that box
can be for the title or what ever you chose to put in
it. Most people put the title of the poem or a meaning
relating to their poem. In "REHTAF RUO" by reading
this you the reader became tricked by Satan into his hell
or her hell, Satan can be what ever he/she wants to be
depending on if a he or a she is reading the poem! I hope
                      that's not to confusing!
Thank you for asking and liking the poem!
I am happy with any interpretations or what ever the
reader gets from any of my poems because if things were
only viewed one way they might get pretty boring after
awhile so I like it when people express their thoughts on
how they see a poem from any point of view.

                      "Fiends" ~ Excellent ~

Hardrock…Thanks Hardrock after reading your response I kinda wanted
"REHTAF RUO" to be the title and I guess it can be. Thanks
                     for pointing out the meaning!

                     "Dark" ~ Burning ~

demoninlove…Yes! Thank you for responding.

                          "morbid" ~ Fantastic ~

Jeremiah Johnson…Thank you for responding "Mr Magician"

                                  "hell spawn" ~ Deathly ~

SpitFire…So now I know why you like to hang out in dark!
Dark is great and all the poets are great too!

"…you're starting to scare me." ~ Just sign here ~

Thanks to all for responding
Just some creative writing!

I personally don't believe in Satan which is actually Hebrew for Enemy there for Satan may not be so literal more of a metaphor. I am sure some of you are thinking of that line form The Usual Suspects. Well I think that man is responsible for himself, if he turns towards evil it will possess him but I don't it is a literal demon more general evil. I am going to bite my tongue at this point because I ma trying to avoid getting caught put in such debates. I am not a religious freak, more interested in the sides of humanity. So I will just say I enjoyed the poem.

Insect,
Your statement about Satan wanting to be what he wants to be reminds me of a certain novel by a German author called Wilhelm Hauff, "The Memories of Satan". In this book he calls himself Natas, and is an intriguing and even sexy creature (somewhat like the more modern image of the vampire). OH, I'm sorry, this is not relevant really, I'm just ranting.

BTW, on the subject of Satan and demons, I too, regard them as merely symbolic, when I say fiends I mean the sub or unconscious, not "real" demons. But Hardrock is right, the poem is relevant regardless of our beliefs, unless we think good and evil do not exist. Blablabla. Sorry

Well of course he lives...otherwise we would have nothing to write about......
