I see lovers strolling hand in hand Or kissing softly Their attention not swaying It makes me long For such affection Is true love just a whismical thought? Is there any truth in fairy tales? Or has Hallmark made off with Miser's Gold, Like a bandit in the night? |

I've heard there are a few lucky ones out there in the world who have experienced "true love", but sadly, I've not joined their ranks as of yet... Glad you liked the read... thanks man.. Cyndey, my answer is yes, there is true love, although its real hard to come by. And do we know it when we find it? Does the other person? Or can it slip by on a dream? I don't know, but I believe its there somewhere. Hallmark may have lied to us a little, and Disney lied even more. But its there, I know it. Maybe not one true love, but a series of many small loves, that in restrospect coulda, shoulda.. Anyway, I likes the poem. Philosphising after midnight is dangerous for me.
