He'll wait an eternity for his one black rose
For her face so pale, her eyes dark and cold
As the sun burns out, he will never know
Never love, forever mourn...

Black in name, cold in heart
Death in vain, soul torn apart
No mortal soul should feel such hurt
For mortal sins she has immortal thirst

Love was born of their twisted souls
Sins of the flesh, loves untouched blood
They bore the scars, felt the disgrace
She lived her final days in shame

His only love now dead and gone
Victims of a devil's scorn
Untold pain he feels, he bleeds...
Blood drawn on her poisoned thorns

In time maybe, again she'll come
To re-ignite the dying sun
Her blood red lips, a devil's kiss
Flaying skin with a serpents tongue

For just one moment, all he'd give
If he could feel her now...
To know once more
Her unbound love

Alone now, he stands
The withered rose
Falls from his bleeding hand
She is gone with the summer
Winter beckons

Fate, for this man
Plants the seed of pain
From which his torture grows...

A powerful poem! Really intense!

Woah! This is one great poem!

Alone now, he stands
The withered rose
Falls from his bleeding hand

I saw the bleeding hand, I saw the rose fall!  Ecxellent work!

Powerful stuff FJiznit! I bet that black rose looked so beautiful while the sun was still shining on it.
