The Shores of Alone

Tonight
I choose to immerse myself
in you.
I re-read your letters, gaze at your art,
hold your photo close to me,
and write one more poem dedicated to you.
I dwell, obsess, fantasize, plan, plot, yearn,
practically hallucinate,
I am so enveloped
in you.
Tonight,
I choose to forget
everything else,
let the barriers fade away,
and just immerse myself
in the joy
of knowing you.

Across the gateway of my heart,
I wrote "No Thoroughfare!!"
But love came laughing by and
Cried "I enter everywhere!!!"

This is fantastic. I love this, I love how it feels, I love how it reads, I have felt this, and continue to feel it.

"I dwell, obsess, fantasize, plan, plot, yearn,
practically hallucinate..."

I loved it. The perfect picture of obsessive love. Thank you.
