Faith and Disease

Inside the light burns a relentless night
It was always about doing what’s right
Never about what doing what you like
I’d let in the light, but is much too bright
Instead I’ll sit freezing in my lovely night
Devoid of faith, once again comes the blight
Creeping in, the disease of wrong and right

-------------
Darkness do drown me,
Light do burn me,
Oblivion do welcome me

This is a very opressive poem. It has a very strong "there is no way out" feel. Very powerful. I especially admire this line :
Inside the light burns a relentless night

p.s. I love your name!

"For God's sake, he's a poet. Poets are meant to feel miserable. Otherwise, what the hell are they here for? What are they going to write about?"

One can almost sense the darkness
