I sit, here
on the sand.

Look out
at the surf
lapping at my feet.

Look over
at the sun
sliding into the ocean.

Look up
at the stars
starting to twinkle.

(I sigh)

I lay back
into the soft sand.

The surf laps
up to my waist.

(I sigh)

Gently it laps
and
laps.

Over my mouth
my nose.

I close my eyes.

(I sigh my last sigh)

Now I twinkle,
in the sky.

Wow, you wait to you here some of my gloomy poems I wrote them a while ago and Im still here, I think its because I put it to paper and never followed through, because once I wrote it the thoughts were out of my head. Its good how you can write such things when you are so happy.

to close to home for me Tara, I nearly drownd one time, very close to home.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

A wonderful poem. The sea has that savage lure, somehow.

It could very well be a statement on apathetic behaviour then, since the intent was not self destruction....lol
Very nice work
