Soemthing more dark just for Joel.. LOL

Damn you and your fruitless dreams,
They never become reality,
There is more to life than pipe dreams,
You have to face your emotional fragility.

Damn war, such a waste of time,
Neither side ever wins,
We merely count the dead and wounded,
And soon forget them and all they contributed.

Damn the smartasses in this world,
Who believe they know it all,
Just once I'd like to be there,
And applaud loudly as I watch them fall.

Damn illness the dark constrictor in life,
Damn him for taking the innocent,
Why not take those old and beyond their time,
Instead of innocents or children just at their prime.

Damn so damned much,
Why is life this way?
Why for every moment of happiness,
Do we eventually have to pay??

Isis, I liked this too. I am always in a semi dark place myself. It's good that you aren't.

it must be hard to read darkness and not feel it, isis.  that only proves what a DAMN good poet you are!!!!!!!  to be able to write it, and exceptionally well at that.

Cried "I enter everywhere!!!"

Damn i'd like to write a poem titled "Damn" but you beat me to it...perhaps "Damn it"
or "Damn it all to Hell" ....ha...ha...
You poem was kindof cool.
Reminds me of some of the famous damn's.
Remember the song "DAMN I wish I was yuor lover" sung by sophie b. hawkins?
Or how about "Frankly Martha I don't give a Damn." spoken by Clark Gable in "Gone With the Wind?".
I did write a poem called "The Blues".
