It's so easy,
loving the wrong man.
He leads you into that special place
where you feel alive.
His elusiveness makes you needy.
His charisma makes you smile.
His sensuality ignites the spark of passion
long since gone.
It's so easy,
loving the wrong man.
When he offers you a branch to cling to,
when he prevents you from drowning,
when his words are all you have.
It's so easy
loving the wrong man,
that it almost
makes it right...

this is the first I've read of yours and I love it. Why? Because it relates to me, yes, and what I' going through but more than that.
It speaks in heart language that we can all understand and that is much needed. this one goes in my library
welcome to the forum by the way!

me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace." Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Yes, but what's sad is when you do it three different times. Oh well. This was a nicely done poem.

From a man's perspective.....it hurts just as much when she discovers you are the wrong man....and you haven't.  She leaves, you grieve....Hurt is a two way street.  Dark Passions is an expressway to the soul.
Excellent work...enjoyed it very much.  Hardrock

Loving the wrong man?  Well I have done that too, what is it that draws us to them???  Are they bad?  Dangerous?  Exciting?  What ever it is it is wonderful for a while then reality sets in...  Still when you look back some of the dance will always be remembered as wild and thrilling.  Know what you mean hon!!  Great work..

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

oh boy........ now you are the one hitting the nail on the head!!!!!!!!  i recall a comment you made on a poem of mine a few days ago kinda on the same lines!!!!  thank you for this one!! i  needed to  know i am not the only one who has been trapped and snared, and didn't dare care, until such time it becomes painfully aware.  lovin your work, girl!! keep it up!!

A woman to a man is
But a mere chapter,
But a man to a woman
Is an entire book.--

Catalinamoon, God I hate being the wrong man, I guess I was at one time.
Maybe now, we'll see.
love the poem kid. hate the hurt.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

I swear it is some kind of starnge coincidence that we date the SAME men...lol.

You speak the truth so well, I can only hope that I will start loving myself more in hopes that one day I will meet a man who can give me all of that, without wearing a mask, so to speak.  This is beautiful!

I think you are right....most women WILL know how this feel.

Deception burns does it not?

I suppose though - that men love the wrong women too...to be fair.

Sigh...oh for happy endings hey?

Good write Sandra...
