In the night as you sleep you will see me in your dreams.
In the night as you tremble I will hold you harder it seems.
In the night as you breath I will catch your sweet breath.
In the night as you dream dark thoughts I will shed light.
In the night as your heart beats I will listen and love.
In the night as your fears come about I will be there.
with no doubt.
Until the day sheds it’s golden light upon your furled brow.
I’ll stay a spectral friend connected to your soul some how.
So stay your fears, dry your tears.
and know I’m with you in the night.

Joel.

For my good friend Irish Rose, whom I love so.
You have given me so much, now it's my turn to return a little something.
I just had to post this so you would see this when you woke up this morning.
I hope you don't mind.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

A beautiful poem!

"I’ll stay a spectral friend connected to your soul some how"

Yep - friends always remain close - no matter where they are.

Joel,
I'm proud of this and I'm proud of your friendship. Poetry is expression, meaning and to withhold that leaves nothing more than empty words on a page that yellow before they are even written.
Thank you seems so inadequate but thank you so much. So much.

I'm speechless except this, Thank you who posted your replays, I've said all I can in this poem for Rose.

And to you my sweet, Iris Rose, yes my friend you are so much worth it all.

I guess I will say something.
within these ?? dark pages of tears, lost souls, lost loves, found God, lost Dogs, and unimaginable pains of woe.
A friendship has developed between I.R. and myself, as I have developed so many more and I will get to them soon hahaha.
And it's funny we come here just to express our dark pains, and or dark joys, if you just extend your self beyond your screens you will find a person with an immense wanting to find someone to share there loves and pains.
What less can you do.
And in the doing you will find a friend for life.
OK that’s all from me now.
love ya kid.
Joel.

I'm blessed and I'll say it again
this one came from someone's heart and he wasn't ashamed to tell the entire world that I am worth something and he is my friend
so let's put it on top again.
(bear with me, I'm a little emotional)
I'm a poet!

me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace." Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Not lost souls!! We have the comfort only like minds can afford...May God bless each of us in knowing we are not alone, and may we share and share till dispair departs.
Damn fine poem, my man!!!
I'm not a poet...but just a man!
