This spot right here in my soul
      Is the crossroad between
           Love and hate
Stuck out on this branch as bait
        so at this crossroad
                 I
               Wait

I'm the lord, I'm the havoc, I'm the soul

Jeremiah,
I like the crossroad imagery that you use here. Love and hate, so far and yet so close. How often one can become the other. Great stuff!

Hey JJ this is great, I like the bait on a branch like Huck Fin. So what will take it?? hate or love.??

Short, but very powerful. I'd kind of like to see a sequel. =)
This poem reminds me of a little story I heard about an old Indian chief That said (the quote will be off, it was a long time ago that I heard it :P) that inside of him were two dogs; one was vicious, mean, etc; and the other was kind, gentle, patient, etc; and that they were constantly fighting each other. When asked which dog one, the old man thought for a minute, then replied "The one I feed the most."
That little story spoke volumes to me.

Still born, they don't always die,
bu dazzled, they can't forget a drug so sweet
that even children would
