Empath visions sometimes plague me,
I feel others pain and see a glimpse of destiny,
My beliefs have always pulled me through,
Today I will share some of them with you..

Surround yourself with beauty and love,
These are both gifts from above,
And when shared or witnessed they remind you,
Things are not as bad as you FEEL they are.

How exactly?  What do I mean?
Make your life beautiful not unclean.
Get out in the yard and make an oasis,
Somewhere to sit and lose those feelings of pain and stress.

Embrace family, loved ones and friends,
See and enjoy the good in them,
If you are alone buy a pet you'd like,
They are a source of comfort when in plight.

Love is love no matter the source,
A companion of any sort is better than none at all,
So with the new garden and a friend in tow,
Already two sources of comfort when feeling low.

Don't have a garden?
You can make one anywhere,
In your room at home,
Or out on the apartment's terrace somewhere.

We must embrace those things which bring us joy,
We must make the best of what we have today,
We alone have the power to pull ourselves out of the mire,
We alone must hope love and hope aspire.

Karma, your friend and mine,
It is all true what people say,
What you give out good or bad,
Comes back times three, that is the price we pay.

So send out love, encouragement, friendship and warmth,
Not petty anger, jealousy or why me's?
Set the example of how you want your life to be,
Show other's a hint of your destiny.

Surround yourself with positives,
Things that move you or renew you,
See the best in your situations,
Embrace the best within you............

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

You wrote,

"Karma, your friend and mine,

Goddess I wish that were true!
is it we pay emotionally, physically, or spiritually? I am still waiting for some karma I have coming my way

Portia I dont know you and your beliefs but I do believe in karma good and bad.  I have seen proof many times..
I'll give a quick example..  a neighbour of mine always had me doing things for him all the time,I found it a nuisance after a while and he never seemed to appreciate me or what I did and even thank me nicely.  I was starting to feel hurt and used and was giving up on mankind and the karma ideals.
Then meantime we were diligently saving for our first computer's printer would be a few more months till we could get it.  He surprised me, called me to the fence and handed me a brand new printer, cables, paper, inkjet cartridge and all and the man isn't rich, it was a thankyou and rekindled my belief in karma and mankind in general.
Thought it took 31 years for me to see such proof, it does happen.

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

It's nice to see something written with an upbeat expression.  Wise words you pen with this peom Isis.  You seem to have a soulful insight to what really matters, even in times of personal strife.
~~nice writing~~

Word to look at again, and again. I'll print this one out and look it over.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Ah, this does give the soul sometime to look out from the darkness, and see hope through it, very inspirational for me.  Thank you, I really needed these uplifting words.
