Come down low, so everyone hears
we are all in the game
Its been like this for years
Running down people, running down fears

On the dark side

The last of the fast men
With the last of the slow
Dance in the night
because there's nowhere to go

On the Dark Side

we look up as music takes flight.
As all around us as we fight
Just more lost souls
In the pit of the night

On the dark side

Now we're here nothing seems real
Cry in the heat those crocodile tears
We walk in, eyes open wide
just a place to go when dreams have died

On the dark side

Where the last of hot girls
Courts the last of the cold
And they Dance in the night
Down where nobody knows

On the Dark side

i'm heading down now
Into the night
Where a lonely girl
Is calling for the light

On the Dark Side
ON THE DARK SIDE< !signature-->

 Vanguard of the New Movement

Behind his polished cedar desk,
surrounded by his phones,
Sits Blazer Dyke(The yachting type),
The vanguard of the clones.
The Archetype,
The number one,The vanguard of the clones.

Crossing over busy street,
where noisy traffic drones,
Walks Blazer Dyke (without a bike),
The vanguard of the clones.
The autocrat,
The ectomorph,
The vanguard of the clones.

He strides across the cobbled yard,
Where pawn shops offer loans,
That Blazer Dyke (Whom i dislike),
The vanguard of the clones.
The cannibal,
The parasite,
The vanguard of the clones.

He passes through the  wicket gate,
To churhyards full of bones,
That Blazer Dyke (on a midnight hike),
The vanguard of the clones.
The necrophile,
The narcissist,
The coprophage,
The sybarite,
The telepath,
The Anti-Christ,
The vanguard of the clones.

very cool, cryptic, poem W,
you draw this side of life well with your
words,
... theres a place for everyone to go ...
even those who find their comfort in the dark
take care kind poet
jm

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
(How one move just puts me by myself)
There you go just trusting someone else
(Now I know I put us both through hell) ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
(I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me)
And I'm not sayin
(We ever had the right to hold on)
(I just didn't wanna let you get away from me)

She says baby,
It's 3AM ... I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,
Says the rains gonna wash away I believe it.

Walter, this is tuneful! Is this a song? If not it should be!

This does remind me of Eddie and the cruisers song (movie title), I think it was actually song by the beaver band, not this poem but one like it to be twins, it's title is
"The Dark Side".
love the movie. and love this poem. great job.

I sat just a bit ago looking into my own darkness of my soul, then I came upon this and it made me look a bit deeper......
oh, darkness be bitter sweet
as your words here.....
I find this one grand , indeed!

There is an alter ego which
dwells in every soul...

On the dark side if joel reads this it is actually based on the song from Eddie and the cruisers (love that film). This is my own version of that song. It (at least in my mind) goes to the same tune.

I loved the movie and I love this too! This is great work Walter.
