A voice it speaks to me in my dreams,
Words of love and encouragement,
He the unseen muse,
He who knows no judgement.

My night time lover,
Mine and mine alone,
When his creative fingers touch me,
I shiver delightedly to the bone.

He's had his pain and torment,
He has lost a true love,
He too, needs a soulmate,
A goddess from above.

He speaks to me and my senses calm,
We sing together in love's harmony,
His words of comfort almost a balm,
No finer man could there be.

Is he reality?  Or merely a pipe dream,
Does he indeed hear the call,
When my soul does scream?
Will he always catch me when I fall?

The answers?  Who knows?
I may never know,
But the dreams of this special man,
I will rejoice in, never let go.

In our land of dreaming,
There are no problems or pain,
We love totally and unselfishly,
With him the universe itself is somthing I've gained.

So if you'll excuse me,
I must go now,
Off to visit again this angel of my dreams,
For real or not, he brings me happiness and lessens the load somehow.........

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

Isis,
It is always good when we find one to lessen our load.  Hold on to those dreams....they will see you through the rough times.  I like this one.

Dreaming is good. They get us all through tough times...I think I should sleep then...

Hey Isis, this poem is truely wonderful. You dream (is it you dreaming?) of a kindred spirit, someone who understands you in and out, no questions asked. A truely romantic dream. Although in life it's better not to long for a perfect partner, for who is truely perfect?

Many times have I shared this feeling in the past/present, wondering if my dream girl is out there somewhere.  However, I sense that there is a hint that this man may be real in some context, just for now, unseen    correct me if I'm wrong.  I think I like it here!  Excellent work, it's nice to find people I share common interests with.

He is faceless.. I'm hoping to be able to put a face to him one day.. LOL
Firejerm, welcome to the forum and passions!!  It can be read many ways, there are hints sure, clever of you to pick it up, but for now he is faceless, a kindred spirit indeed, which is what we all desire..  Glad you like it here so much already and I hope that passions soon becomes your home too!!

I believe that the ending to sven's reply "but sometimes..." would have to be sometimes you need more than dreams. It is a wonderful poem isis and hopefully someday soon that man will have a face for you.

again kid you have touched my heart yes we must dream of ?? our ?? loves.
A face does not matter.
the heart does.
Take this from a man that must sneek up on a glass of water to get a drink. hahaha
Love ya kid.

Isis,
O Goddess - Sovereign of spirits...
Thee dreaming of angels and spirits is but irony indeed,
But then every soul must dream dreams,
For sometimes, as we all know, it to be true,
That these dreams get real, and life shines through...

Keep dreaming, Isis, DREAM ON....

by the way, a very nice poem, do you remember the sounds of the voice of the yet faceless angel that you dream of?

Regards, sudhir.

Isis, it is hard isn't it, when we long for something, though we don't know what. But I have found that in life, when we ache and long for things, they rarely happen. However, when we just make the best of what we have and live each day for the moment....sometimes, just sometimes, our dreams come true and the unlooked for arrives like a bolt from the blue.
Keep dreaming though, I love your work.

Never give up the dream Isis!

I wrote this many months before I knew who I wrote it for, I was lucky enough to come to know them. I knew who it was long before I ever saw thier face. Dreams do come true.

As I lay there, head on the pillow
I thought of you often
And as the darkness swept over me
I saw your face and smiled

Isis, FireJerm and i discussed your poem.    *see Jeremy*, "a fantasy lover,  a muse who understands the depths of her passions and pain".  Yes a kindered spirit.  Thank you Isis, it was beautiful.  Trisha4u

Thanks everyone, this is not a dream I have regularly, just rarely no more than anyone else I suppose.
I have a firm grasp on reality and believe in karma.  Dreams are often not a reality, but hope, dreams and love are the foundations for getting the best you can in this world.
I enthusiastically greet each new day, and await what wonders, joys or tears come my way.
If nothing else I am certainly a realist...
Glad you all liked this and it provoked such responses

I believe that hopes and dreams are the most powerful forces in our lives!! They are why we get up in the morning and why we keep going even when we are mortaly hurt!
