Imagine endless repitition,
I wonder if you can,
Imagine months of nothing,
With no one to lend a hand.

Imagine phone calls,
Being your only contact with the outside world,
Imagine illness,
It's pain unfurled.

Imagine being told,
If you can't handle all this you're insane,
Imagine being told,
Basically it is you who is to blame.

Imagine no sympathy,
Imagine stress beyond endurance,
Imagine nothing to hope for,
Imagine a life like this....

Imagine losing friends,
Some who mean the world to you,
After all your best isn't good enough,
There is nothing you can do.

Imagine the sameness day in, day out,
Imagine how trapped you'd feel,
No way out,
It's the scream of the real.....

I do and I have,
And hell I don't want it anymore,
I pray for guidance and understanding,
Can't make it to the door...................

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

"When God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window" - The Sound of Music

I've been there, done that, and I'm wearing the t-shirt now. I think this is one of your best, Isis.

~Isis,...times seem tough for you right now.  These past few poems of yours are so full of raw emotion.  Letting me see into your world and I truly hope that these are either older poems or that you are straining on making things better for you.  I hope all is well.  Let me know. Great expression here. *Peace.

Raw isn't quite the word for it kid. and spit had it wrong I don't think you have any old poems you post do you. you always seem to post the now in your life. As do I.

Anyway, it is a word to the dark we all hear.
love ya kid.

Life has a way of happening to us without our permission doesn't it?

May the gods of water wash your pain away
May the gods of air carry your sorrows on a cleansing breeze.
May the gods of earth ground your spirit in the knowing - that all things improve.
and may the gods of fire keep the passion burning in your spirit

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

Imagine screaming just pushing it all out... realising the pain. now imagine a calmness slowly descending...look look at everything it is really so black or maybe just grey....flowers on the window....bright bold flowers...sun shines, bird songs imagine imagine smiling children....loving partner...friends.....happiness....the sun sets and dawns and dream of better days.

well Isis I really enjoyed your poem though I hope that times are not this overcast.
They say the rain is there for dancing in. Any way take care, powerful raw emotive poem

Joel is right!!  HA HA!    It is a dramatic view of current circumstance, of course, it is not THAT bad, but tormenting at times I assure you.
I love all the responses to this piece.....
JP I especially loved your little blessing thanks so much hon..
Spitfire, explanation above, sorry but Joel is closer than you...
Joel, you know me too well my friend, and that is scary almost considering we hardly converse..!!     You/Solan can hear that hhhoooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwllllllll in other's can't you??
Brian hon, I exorcise bad demons with music and maybe a light touch of meditating.  Visualisation is a powerful tool..
