Where am I now?
Lost amongst the crumbs
Can you hear the calling?
Whispering of my nameless face
from here in this fog,
to the end of this abyssal plain
And it all sounds the same,
yet I hunger for more
I grow tired of these games
forget the illusion,
let's make it real
And still I fear
so many things,
but none for love
since I entered this place
Here it comes
again and again,
and I ask,
"What shall be brought to me
today from the eastern sky?"
Silence is it's answer,
the only answer it can provide
They've left me now,
shapeless spirits
no longer my guide

Dark Enchantress~

"Lost amongst the crumbs" (I want to eat this line.)
"They've left me now,
shapeless spirits
no longer my guide" ( I just like this one, good to end on)

Had to go back and read this again.  It seems like you are already at the end as soon as you start reading.  Flows over the rocks that stick up between the lines in this poem.

It's scary how much we think alike. Yes I saw myself in this poem too. You did an excellent job of getting into my head.
Thanks for your wonderful replies to my poems.

This is a beautiful peace of work, to me it reminds me of the vast dessert that reality feeds us.... and the only drop of water you recieve... is an emotion that you have to drop your guard to recieve. I like it alot Jamsters

Well this was sad.   I do believe we have guides and they may be resting but would not forsaken you.  Embrace them again and together face the future, it is all any of us can do..

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

Dark, truly a great read as all of yours.
I enjoy the depth of them, the dark side with an inner light.
As Isis said they will not forsaken you, but might let you take a few steps on your own. haha, God I know this.
Anyway yes I love this one immensely.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
