Why can't you tell the truth
Even when you're faced with proof
You continue telling lies
As yet another piece of me dies

You're pursuing a relationship with her
Of this I'm almost sure
Friends don't say those things
Don't you see the sadness it brings

You say that I should trust
But my heart has turned to dust
I don't know what to do
To get this message to you

Why does she talk like that
Even after her chance to chat
She said she didn't know
Although she does she won't go

What, Lord, would make her cease
So life could have some peace
There hasn't even been a divorce
Yet she continues on this course

How does she look herself in the face
Knowing she's so out of place
The hurt of an affair
Brings pain beyond compare

Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end.

Affairs hurt everyone involved. I hate to see any marriage or long term relationship die.  It is sad.
But from every loss something is gained...

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

Portia...yes, it is dangerous ground.  Thank you for saying I conveyed it well.

Kynder...I don't know who wrote that one either.  Wish I could tell you.  You are welcome for sharing.

Rich...Thank you for the reply, but that would be Ms. Wolf!!!  LOL.....don't let the name fool you!!!  Sorry you can relate.

Isis...Yes, they do hurt all involved.  It is sad, but you just have to take what you have learned and move on.  Just something I needed to vent on...

Excellent vent, my friend. The quote is by Sir Walter Scott btw.

Hi Ms. Lady Wolf,

You pinned this one good, could not tell it any better, I learned from what happened and moved on but you do not forget! Very awesome job thankyou for venting.

Love, Cerenity

A nice expression of your feelings and hurts..my exwife had an affair while still married to me...the guy was temporarily broke up with his wife and she was temporarily broke up with me...they justify it in their minds that it is alright..after all we were not getting along at the time..when he went back with his wife..she called me up and said she was coming back to me...after all this is what they assumed would happen..he would go back and she would go back..I told her she should have asked me about it because I did not intend to live with an unfaithful wife...later they feel the consequences of their actions...thats the way life is...but they really could care less about the one they are being unfaithful to at that moment...just my experiences and my opinion...and yes it was all a very painful experience but the sooner you accept the truth and go on the better...it is never as hard as it seems...James
