Solitude

Drowning in this pool of confusion
the roar of the water hides my cry.
No one can hear my screams.
I see you just with in my reach
but you do not see me,
you do not hear me,
you can not reach me.
Like you use to.

Stuck in the whirl of water
Spinning around helplessly
I struggle to stay a float.
In this endless sea of deception
waves try to smother me,
to take my breath away,
to end my loneliness,
They engulf me.

Tired from the fight
my energy all exhausted.
I descending into  darkness.
My will no longer my own,
I surrender to the quietness,
sinking further away,
I give in to the urge,
of total solitude.

This is saddness and desperation to the max.
Hope you are ok?  And this is just a venting type piece?  Honey the imagery was great here, good work

I love the comparison of drowning in the ocean and drowning in life. Very effective! But I hope not based on reality, as Isis already said!

Thanks for your replies. It does have a bit to do with my current situation. If you read I still love you, in open 7 you would get the idea of what I am feeling. Sad, yes, tired, yes, but not to worry my friends this will pass
for I really thirst for life.

I don't really know what to say except I know this pain, and hope that in time your wounds heal. hang in there. a powerful poem, you portrayed the emotions perfectly.

"To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."

E.E Cummings.

"Culture Alienation Borebom and Despair"

"I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing" -faster MSP

"And you see, I kind of shiver to conformity
Did you see, the way I cower to authority, you see
And my life, it's a series of compromises anyway
It's a sham, and I'm conditioned to accept it all, you see" six by Paul Draper.

~Kitkat,...you have the power my friend to exhaust me with your work.  This is a good thing...trust me.  Your writing has taken me for a ride,..right with it.  Gosh,...I could feel much emotion in this....much emotion.  I'm here hoping that you are alright as well. *Peace.

don't you wish they made emotional life savers instead of ones for your mouth, or those life jackets for your body??  man lies lies lies.... destroyer of such good things.  i hope you can find a shaft of light in the truth that prolly will hurt you first.  funny how it works that way.
