Music is a Time Machine away from Present's "known and seen" Inbetween what is, what's been the Heart is pulled inside The faces in the times once shared the moments you knew someone cared and "Dared to Dream" was always there inside the notes applied You hear that pulling Melody reminding you and instantly that Love you hold Eternally is out from where it hides No matter where your feet may lead or driving, still your ears will heed that poignant seed that grows indeed along with you it rides It takes you back to hallowed Time that certain song, that certain rhyme the motions memory will mime the Love you've heard and seen And all this Life your years may flow Those aural pictures always show on endless travels you may go in Music's Time Machine |

This is so true, so many songs attached to memories and so many memories attached to songs. Maybe that is one of mysteries of music. Unique poem, unique perspective. |

Thank you my "Light" Maree. My friend Don and I saw a Celine Dion ad for her Decade... album and we both get such a "shot" in the Heart when we hear the Love theme from Titanic, "My Heart Will Go On". He looked over at me and said, "Music is a time machine" ! Well, that was enough to inspire me to write this. *Hug* Geoff |
