Mystic misted waters
meandering through a frosted land
Laid out before my eyes
like the lines upon my hand
Earthen shapes like crystal
refract the light of distant moon
dancing in the heavens
like an illuminated loon
Soon the faded silver dust
will rain upon the sands
of time within this kingdom
made of luminescent bands
Grand obelisks of onyx
play against Horizon's wall
Jagged teeth to bite the skies
that now embrace the Lunar Ball
Brilliance wrapped in subtle shades
that map the landscape of the mind
through the void that yesterday
forgot and left behind
These Images of Empires
that indwell within your dreams
they are there just for the taking
They are there or so it seems

Thanks Pete for enjoying.

Thanks Jamie, we have just a few hours to go.
Lately, darkness is my forte.

Balladeer, thank you for your vote. Sincerely, that is definitely a compliment coming from you. I think your insight and your story-telling are phenomenal. Thank you again.

Reiterating what I had just stated to Balladeer, Janet Marie, I have to be equally honest with you, I really and deeply enjoy your "Gifts". You are a Joy to read !!!

Geoffrey,

Images of Avalon dance in my mind as this poem wraps itself with such vivid images around me.
Earned my vote and also my eager anticipation of your next submission.

Thank you Heather !

Thanks minstrel, nice of you to say

Thank you michelle. I really like what you said there. I do have a couple that I submitted the past couple of days. Just click on for the last 5 days option and I'm there, OK ? One called "Dark Angel" that I dedicated to Dark Angel and one called "Band of Light". Thanks

Geoffrey
