See the sidewalks in the winter
Covered with new snow
Yes it's cold, more for old
Yet even more for homeless.

The blizzard's come and I can't se
My hand in front of me
What was that lump, back in the dump?
My God!  It was a body!

Night has darkened, snow falls down
Within the parking lot
Her echoed scream, He's met his need
And leaves her lying lifeless.

"Buy a coat...It's just brand new"
"i'll sell it for ten dollards!"
Pockets picked for her quick fix
She'd sell her own new daughter.

The cold hides nothing we can't see
In daylight or in summer
Pass it by, it is no lie
It will not go away.
