--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lonely lighthouse keeper you've got me thinking,
Do you love what you do?
With no family, no friends on those lonely nights,
Do you wish your work was through?

You've mastered all your skills and hobbies,
You're an accomplished writer too,
You've even worked out the computer and the net,
So tell me what else do you do?

On those cold wintry nights hemmed in by the fog,
Do you long for some female company?
You have a companion in your faithful dog,
But when you wake from a nightmare who's loving eyes do you long to see?

Your little world it calls to me,
I think I'd love it with you,
Just like the sea you are steadfast and true,
And I just love your locality.

You protect us all as well as the ships at sea,
Your lighthouse a message beacon,
Old souled sailor once before,
Open your heart to me, open the door.

The next full moon will be blue,
A sailor's moon I'm told,
I'm gonna ask you a question,
I'm going to be bold.

The point where the light touches the beach,
Just North of your lighthouse,
I'll be there at 8.00 pm,
Hoping and waiting for you.

I'm hoping that your interested,
And you'll come and look into my eyes of blue,
Where I shall be waiting my love,
To spend some time with you.

If you don't come,
For whatever reason,
I'll know your heart,
I'll know the reason.

But I will always think of you,
When your light spins round the bay,
I'll wish you well and Godspeed,
Those thoughts will never fade......

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

Isis~ Really truly this is wonderful! I really like the way it made me feel hopeful that he'd be there at 8pm. I think this could even have a follow up poem to go with it because now I really want to know if he's gonna show!!! Excellent.   *****VOTE*****   -SEA
