There is no darkness here
only the twilight of another day
softly spoken night words of love
are all you’re allowed to say.

Bring your heart into this quiet
and lay down upon my breast
breathe slowly and enjoy
the solitude of this rest.

Worry not about the morrow
it will be there when you wake
put yourself into my hands
you give and I will take.

Give me your harried worries
give me your day of stress
I’ll take your cares and stroke them,
soothe them with my caress.

In perfect harmony, we’ll sit
and wait til your soul is eased
then with your smile, I will know
that you have been well pleased.

Thankfuly I lie my head upon your chest
When life's path has taken a weary way
Words such as these, do us richly bless
and he way for us is shortened by a day.
Wonderful comforting words MS DeVine.

Vote!

Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.
