Yea! Daddy's home for the rest of the day and night.
Can we go outside while there's still sunlight?
And daddy lets go down the street for a little walk;
When we get to that tree we'll stop for a talk.

Can you tell me a secret about clouds and rain?
And what makes it fly, that thing called a plane?
Hey! What is that music? That jingley sound?
Can I have ice cream when the truck comes around?

I got new rocks for my collection, one white - one red.
Can I sleep with these tonight when I go to bed?
Here's a flower for mom. Here's one for you too.
Look, I can do a summersault! How about you?

Here kitty-kitty. Can I have a cat?
When I get older I want one just like that!
I'll race you back to the house. I won! I won!
I sure do like running fast. Wasn't that fun?

You know what daddy? You know what I think?
I love you a lot. I think you're great!
Thanks for the walk little one. I love you too.
How I do enjoy coming home to a daughter like you.

You sure expressed the joy of being a parent so well.  We relive our childhood through our children..that's the secret to never growing old.
~~nice writing~~

Drew,
Funny I just posted one about my son, I know how you feel so close to your children,
nice to see a father loving his daughter so tender, a fathers love prepares her for her love for her husband, you seem to be a great father!

How wonderfully you capture the enthusiasm of children, and the love you have for your daughter.  This is just beautiful.  Bonnie

Without our children where would we be? Alone without love and never free.
Kids are a wonderful gift from God. They make us see things so differently.

Well it seems there is a whole new slew of you to which I must say "Thank You"... and greatfully I do so. I really did look over the majority of my work and truly felt this one was one of the very select few worthy of representing the best of PIP.  I guess we will see. And again, to those of you who have felt the same... my thanks.  Peace!

You've painted such a sweet and tender portrait of a beautiful father/daughter journey.  Brings Norman Rockwell visions to my mind ... absolutely lovely!

Best wishes,
