"She feels too much" some people would say
Sometimes, it's all she can do
                         to get through the day
But wherever a soul is troubled, or a heart is in need
She holds up the light and
proves to be a true friend indeed

The pain, sometimes, can take a heavy toll
Sometimes, she really wonders
if her heart will ever be whole
Her body showing the ravages of the pain
May never ever in this life
                         be healed ever again

She prays at night to not drink from that cup
But daily it is served to her
sometimes she is forced to sup
The beast rules her life, so it would seem
She wonders if the happiness she seeks
                         is only just a dream

Come and be healed, gentle empath
Lay your pain at the feet of one
                         who also practices the craft
He will heal your pain and give you reason to live
So that you may keep being a light to others
and still have a heart to give

This piece clearly shows the versatility of your writing ability.  Having read your work for several months, it is obvious that your masterful writing should be included in Ron's book.  You rank among the truly talented poets in Passions.
It's a pleasure to vote for your work!

Hi Sven,

God bless you for speaking the truth so wonderfully, I will never forget this poem, there are so many people out there that dedicate thier whole lives to the service of others and it does take a heavey toll on them to the point of death, you have said to the world what I have always wanted to say but did not know how. Thank you from the bottum of my heart.

Love always,  Cerenity

This is a very moving piece Sven. The unselfish giving of ones self in order to lift the spirit of others is but one step on the path of righteousness.
