D'e  J`a  Vu
~~~
Again  the  ancient  door  creaks  and  groans
pushing  back
the  dust  of  ages
stirred  constantly  through  time  immortal
~
Past  swirling  fog
a  distant  light  erupts  with  deafening
twisting  truths
~
Solid  ground  shatters  beneath  my  feet
then  I  hover  ...  helplessly
above  a  hideous
boiling  maelstrom
~
The  voice  of  truth  explodes  from  above
my  every  sin  a  shock-wave
that  drives  me  down
~
I  lift  my  legs  to  avoid  the  searing  pain
but  nauseously  blistered  hands
take  hold
and  drag  me  within  the  churning  inferno
~
With  blinding  spin  and  uncontrollable  suction
the  swirling  current  takes  me
and  my  scream  is  but  a  gurgle
~
Unconsciousness  welcome  but  never  met
the  searing  pain  still  rising  yet
each  fibre  ripped  apart  to  molecular  particle
~
Riding  the  vortex  of  purification
~
Separating  sins  from  soul
~
Till  finally
~
I'm  cast  out  the  tail
and  caught  by  the  uterine  web
with  the  voice  of  truth
still  taunting
~
I can't lie, I had to read it twice to get it. I love it now that I understand it though..lol. Almost everyday I come upon a situation where someone (myself included) says "Better luck next time." I don't see why rebirth would be any different....
Oh, I think I just voted for you. Guess you do have luck this time ^_~
Wow ... I was floored with this verse Rex!
I had to read it again with Vincent Price's voice in my head ... just loved this!
You've described the circle of life with such powerful sentiments ... incredibly well penned!
Best wishes,
/Kit
Kit ... thankyou very much ... I would like to hear Vincent Price read it as well ...
this is my favorite poem ... but it does not appeal to everyone ... and I can live with that
Sunny ... careful you don't brighten up this subject ... put your low beams on
