Do you at times feel helpless
Like a ship against the tide?
You feel the darkened waters
Constant crashing 'gainst the side?

You're in tumultuous waters
You have been tossed to and fro
Your thoughts are turning frantic
And the tides too strong to row

You're out in the great open
At the mercy of the sea
And suddenly you're feeling
All your inadequecies

Feeling so awfully helpless
Forces out of your control
For they are so much bigger
Without help, affect your soul

There is one force that's greater
That is stronger than the rest
It is our Lord Almighty
For solutions, He's the best

When you're feeling tossed about
And your future's looking bleak
May it be God you call for
And the first one that you seek

For He's the greatest calmer
Greatest peace you'll ever find
When our own understanding
Leads us in these waters blind

He is always there for us
We need give control to Him
And let the Lord take over
When you're just too tired to swim

For He is your protector
Safely carry you ashore
So call on Him and trust Him
Let His love for you outpour

Oh WhtDove...

I love this (and I don't
know what's up, but it
made me cry...and yes,
the Lord does carry us
at times, doesn't He!)

Thanks for the sweet
words.   Great writing!

Hi WhtDove,
So wise and written beautifully. We humans do make mistakes, pardoned as Jesus extends to us love and forgiveness. With each lesson, we learn and move forward. I enjoyed this very much, Rebecca.

Yes, I do feel like this sometimes and it's such a reassurance to know there is an anchor for us in all of lifes storms. Wonderful poem.

Gee, I wonder how did you know how I feel right now? I guess it's time for me to put my feet back on the ground and start to walk again, because there are only two foot prints in the sand. Wonderful poetry. Thank you

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Eric is nice to know He's there for us.
Thank you!

XAngel....I'm glad you agree!

Thank you Denise! I hope they fix that problem for you soon

Helmut, I'm always tickled when words can touch someone or make a difference. But hey, 2 footprints is the Lord carrying you, and you couldn't be in a safer place.
Though I do know what you mean. I need that kick every once in a while too, actually a lot lately

Marge if I can start your day off like that, then it does me proud

Butterfly thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
