-The Oprah Show-

I decided to write some poetry
for only one reason, you know.
When my poem's printed up for the book on the shelves,
I might get on the Oprah Show!

She'll interview me with a smile and she'll ask
if this poem book she could endorse
and add to her list for the public to read,
and then, "Yes!" I will say, "But of course!"

I can see it now! The Oprah Show
with "Voices on the Net"!
But I hadn't imagined us all on the stage,
so hadn't submitted yet.

I'm writing this poem for Oprah, you see,
'cause I think she's a gem and a doll!
If it wasn't for dreaming of me on her stage,
I don't think I'd be writing at all!

LOL This is cute and well written
And it would be a shame if you didn't write at all.

Take care,

Well, I'd have voted simply cuz this is so silly and I've been in a silly, happy mood lately

nothing wrong with dreaming Justin. The only thing is she never has any edgy books on her book club. I love to see her doing a book dinner discussion with Bret Easton Ellis about American Psycho. Of course it would never happen, but god it would be must see tv. LOL

a great poem Justin.

I do not think that Oprah is
an "edgy" type of gal.
But she sure knows how to keep an eye
on American morale!
Whatever that means, I really don't know,
but this I know for sure....
this poem I've written here to read
just isn't one that will endure.

hehe... just me... JT

Under the moonlight, Okra and me...
Hand in hand, beneath the oak tree,
A wee bit slippery, a wee bit slimee...
That's the problem you have, with Okra Windfree.

Sure, I'd take the other Justins,
except for Justin Sayne.
He's not anywhere around,
in fact, he's lost his brain.
All my bros and cousins are
quite welcome on the stage.
I guess that I'd do ANYTHING
for my poem on a page!

You think I've not
Heard what you've said
You dare imply
That I've no head?

I'm picking Okra
At the stute
And with Windfree
I then shall scoot

You'll not be famous
Lest this bro
Comes with you to
The Oprah show....

Hey, bro! Whaddya know?
Just got back from the Oprah Show!
She said she's delighted
and really excited
to welcome us to her chateau!

So, how's the 'stute? Of fine repute?
You know I was kidding, ya NUT!
I can't wait for "Voices"
to give you more choices
'cause just picking okra's a rut!

So, dear bro! This is all I know...
I'll look for ya out on that stage!
We'll be on the TV
although a bit weavy
from too long a Thyme in a cage!

******
Seeya there, Bigtime!... and bring the rest of the nuts witcha!

just me, JT
