I soar
  like an eagle
          when my days
are filled with you
wind drifted
        and the sunshine
in my eyes
I enfold the warmth
   which you
        transport

floating, you
      carry me away
to tomorrow

  but
   I spin captured
in the whirlwind
         of your absence
    I'm
whisked suddenly
     taken back
             to yesterday
       where the birds
have already sung
      the sun has shone
and the moon dull,
tedious
        where waves
upon cold shores
    are powerless

My flight listless
            I am of concrete
come back……

       … lift me.

This line caught my attention, just as I was being floated along.
Lovely poem.

Excellent M - I really like this one. It screams emancipation ( don't know if that's the right spelling) but ever so softly. Well done.
