I hope the poetry you respect
From that which you have grown
I hope the best poem you ever read
Was one you call your own

a wonderful poem Walt, one for the book definitely.

Foundations that lasted the ages Then ripped apart at their roots"

AWESOME!! Walt, I'm glad I found this one  I don't know how I missed it. You have my vote dear

Yes, I am here, but I am dead, not alive,
my body goes on, my spirit has died

Hey Walt,

Just read this one again. Don't know why it slipped past on the first read. It really is an appropriate and very enjoyable poem and deserves a place in the book. You said it all for many of us.

Thanks, my man

I only read this because of its title.  Of course it caught me off guard.  I thought you were bragging that this would be the "best you ever read."  Instead it reminds you to believe in your work.
good job
