From high above this where she came
Born from a silver streak of flame
She tore a trail consumed my soul
Burning passion I can't control

Her beauty described in mere words
A sweeter song than morning birds
Who ever hope and ever try
To please her as she passes by

When she dips and when she bends
Her graceful body never ends
And when I look into her eyes
I see a fire that never dies

Watching her dance toward the ground
The greatest entrance makes no sound
And then forever life has worth
I've seen where heaven touched the earth

Walt, I'm reminded of that message when you said you wished you could write like me. Why the hell you wanna do that? -- you write like yourself just beautifully.   Awesome work.

hiya walt-a-roony!

I think this is great, especially the last stanza. I would have one suggestion for you though...

I might consider changing:

Who ever hope and ever try

To:

"Whoever hopes and ever tries

It would still maintain the excellent rhyme scheme you've worked up here and at the same time fix it just a wee bit, perhaps make it stronger!

I love the ethereal and romantic feel of this haunting poem. Beautiful! Ellie
