The rain falls incessantly
While my heart fills up rapidly.
The water is beginning to overflow
The walls of my soul,
But don't let the waters recede;
I want to swim
In your love forever.

I want to be drowned in
Your sweet affection.
Let me be showered with
The blessing of your passion
For all eternity.
I don't want to see
These floods going back into the ground.

I'd like to wade
For the rest of my time
On this earth
And into all eternity.
Drench my soul
With the downpour
Of all your desires;

I will fulfill them.
I long to be inundated with
The floods of your love
When the gates are suddenly opened.
Replenish my being with the love
Of which it has been deprived
For so long.
