--- Forbidden Love ---

The man that I love,
Is so loving and kind.
But Mother say's
"Get him out of your mind !"

To stop seeing this man,
Would cut like a knife.
I've loved him so much,
Since he entered my life.

He would hold me and hug me,
If only he could.
But Mother assures me,
That he is no good.

I know that his love,
Could last me so long.
This time I think,
That my mother is wrong.

She tells me each day ,
He's so horribly bad.
But I'll love him forever.
You see, he's my Dad !

(Could your child be feeling this way ?)

Some men see things as they are and ask "WHY ?" I see things as they could be and ask "WHY NOT ?"

Parents shouldn't bad mouth one another, well penned em - tricked us, you did!

One minor thing, this line:

"But Mother say's"   there should not be an apostrophe here.  The apostrophe is only for possessive usage - like the Cat's meow, or for contraction words, like "can't."

Oh....you said such an important thing here, my friend.  It is so hard when families with children split up, so hard on the kids. What makes it even worse is when the anger of the parents make them belittle the other parent in retaliation.  I'm glad to see you write this.....it shows the child's point so clearly.
             Wonderful, and introspective...

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

I think that parent's should keep their feelings for each other in tact for the sake of the children...as they deserve the love and respect of both. UNLESS there is a serious reason for which maybe we don't know like violence etc.........It is a hard call indeed. A very good write, VERY TRICKY.......I liked that!

wow..this was a bit of a surprised ending...
I look at things this way ... either from parents view  or anyone elses....judge for yourself...everyone has reasons for what has happened to them and how they react to others..some have tried their best at the time... even if it wasn't the right choices ...and there is always forgiveness..but judge  for yourself  not from other's words...

Yes I think when me and my wife broke up she had to make me a big monster in her mind to justify her desire to leave me...not that she didn't have reasons...and if she didn't want to be with me that is her right...but she did seem to exagerate at times and I believe this was a undeserved negative influence on my sons...James
