TO MY HUSBAND

As I grow older I wonder what will become of you
Who shall be there when my life is through

You told me not to have a care please do not fret
New friends you have made on the internet

A grandmother writes of moons and rainbows is Marge
Serenity is her daughter with a heart that’s very large

LngJhn pens words of love for his Lorelei
His best friend is Balladeer who could not tell a lie

Pleased to see you wouldn’t be left all alone
I thought I’d go to the internet and visit at the zone

Marge was found cleaning the buggers she had flicked on the wall
Serenity is still in bed for she stayed too late at the ball

LngJhn was outside kicking kitties with his wooden leg
Lorelei was inside sharpening the saw to take him down a peg

Balladeer who saw the perks wants to run for President
He told Xangel if she was REALLY NICE she could be a resident

I’ve meet your new friends and now I know
The internet will have to GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi inot2B....
Well, my friend....now you know!! Poets are a mottley bunch, same as musicians, artists, and etc!! But even with all the quirks, you'll find this place has a lot of heart, and friendship tucked in!
I would like to welcome you to Passions, and don't let crew scare you!!
       (I loved your first post!!)

Today is a gift....
That is why they call it
'the Present'!

There really is nothing at all to fear
moderation seems to be the key within here
as there is beauty for all to share
with two in the house that really do care

Find a time so together you may read
make it a moment to sew love's little seed
rejoice in the mood set within these posts
and love each other creating no new ghosts

Welcome to Passions and I DO SO HOPE you stay and read and write as well as you show your talent in this first offering.

A motley crew this bunch might be
But stick around and you will see
A lot of heart, a lot of sharing,
A lot of good old-fashioned caring,
A welcome given to one and all,
Friends to cushion the hardest fall,
Good days, bad days, sorrow, glee...
For this is a passionate family!

Welcome!

My momma always taught me...
if ya cant say something nice ... then perhaps say nothing at all
Id like to say welcome to you,
but I don't think you'd accept the call.
Im hoping this is your little joke ...
some poetic tongue and cheek.
But if your really serious ...
then perhaps your opinions you should keep
Your walking on thin ice ...
talking about people we all love.
Perhaps you would like to call a truce ...
offer up the olive branch brought in by poetic dove
I think you've been around much longer than you will confess,
your not the first poet to post "incognito"...
and give a fake address.
This place is very special ...
so stay ... read...don't judge ... and then read & reply some more.
But if your still inclined to talk about our finest poets ...
then don't let it hit you ... as your walking out the door.

*winkie winkie*

Peace Poet....
welcome...and give us another look....
before you close the book.

I will admit I've been lurking on the side.
I wake to my husband laughing at some poem. He entertains me with what's been going on.
Sometimes I laugh sometimes I shed a tear. It does my heart good to see that all are welcome here.
The internet is here to stay.
And if allowed I will join in the play.
Thanks to all, now I know why my husband enjoys this so much.

sigh...'tis true, I woke up with one shoe, AGAIN...(I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS)...which reminds me of a quote:  "Never criticize anyone until you've walked a mile in their shoes.  That way, you are a mile away, and you still have their shoes..."

Smile, secretly if you must...but welcome to the forum, and thanks for reading!  Will be looking forward to congratulating you on your 1,000th post!  *wink*

Well, let me give a welcome here.
This is your new friend Balladeer!
You'll like our small nice family
Where we converse with poetry.
I hope your feelings don't get hurt
BY LongJohn, 'cause he's such a flirt
And if you see a poem by Toe...
Don't read it - you don't want to know
The depths of such depravity
He places in his poetry.
As for the rest, they are all great
'Cept Parker....he just needs a date
And Kethry acts a litle numb
When she gets short  on Lithium.
X Angel gives me quite a scare...
She hates men so you're ok there.
er, to safeguard all your sanity
Forget the rest...and just read me!!!

A BIG WELCOME TO YA!!!!!
