Roast pork and chestnut dressing,
Baked potato and sour cream.
It's the day before my diet,
So I think that I may try it.

Fruit compote thickly sugared,
Bon bons from a spoiled girl's dream.
Of course, I'm going to try it--
It's the day before my diet.

And tomorrow you serve dumplings
Filled with cheese and savory beef?
Well, you know I'm going to try it.
But next day I start my diet.

On the day before my diet
What's the harm if I indulge
And my pelvis after dinner
Must support a growing bulge?

On the day I start my diet
I'll awaken with the sun.
I'll sip a cup of green tea
And eat a bran flake, only one.

I'll dine on celery and hard tack
Eat grapefruit by the ton,
Until my war against the flesh
Is definitively won.

So whatever chef is serving up,
I'll permit myself to try it
On any day as long as it's
The day before my diet.

Dom Mart,
WELL DONE!
It's funny you know but today at the office we were saying, how tomorrow is national diet day and then you go and write about it.
