I sit and watch her, almost
        warm between my thighs
        fascinated by her metallic surface
        so easy to capture
        so able to draw in
and they walk to her in trances
        gathering in hopeful approval
        with wet lips
        and growing crotches
        as I stand beside her
        shining face
        hoping to find some reflection
        against my skin
but it is not so tan
        and not so lean
and the confidence does not radiate
        from my downward eyes
        not so dull and brown
        and hollow
        as she . . .
