We gained serenity from our vows to love
and drew together in celebration
young in spirit and heart we began
our lives of collaboration

Will our love survive to that golden time
will your hand still reach out to find me
will we still note each glance, each touch
that guides us to our eternity

Or will we blink and loose the sight
of what was planned as love’s design
will we turn and walk away
from the world that is yours and mine

Perhaps the future is best unknown
each moment seen as a cherished token
that combined with our love will ever be
a bond that remains unbroken.

When does a memory become an heirloom
to be passed down from heart to soul
when all the beautiful tomorrows
become the yesterdays that make us whole

Beautiful.  Perfect.  Wow!

Oh there's just so much to comment on in this piece.  I'm going to side with still reaching out to find her.  It is just so romantic an image.  And the contrary is just too sad.

Did I mention Wow?!?

This is sooooo beautiful!
May all your fond memories be handed down
and cherished

Thank you for your kind replies. I found this one lingering in Open 1 and decided to repost it.

PdV you should repost your favorites more often...there's a whole new audience out there...I remember, and you are correct, quite worthy of a comeback...
