I Will Hold You “Oh” So Tight

Yes I am your mother a pleasure
for sure, you have been the child
for so long but to my surprise I
see a man now and one
trying to be strong.

She is now very much a part of you
and your first love,  now first love
lost. I could relate to you that I’ve
been there once or twice, but
this is not what you want to
hear from the mother in
your life.

All of the times that I could take
away your pains, but this one is out of
my hands. All of the love I have for
you could not ease your pain
for she is the one you look
to for comfort each day.

I want so very badly help you my
son, but she’s the one that went astray.
Now is when all of the wisdom and
faith I imparted to you should
come in to play, but this is
when you will forget and
try to heal the pain
on your own.

I could say to you that this to shall
pass and that there will be another to take
her place, this is not what you want to
hear or that give it time for time heals,
but all that I could possibly tell you
would just be tucked away and on
your own feet you will walk today
and  unfortunately again
another day.

Remember my son when you slouch
in despair that I am always here for you
loving you in just the same way. Please
come to me when it is right I’ll give
my all to you and will hold you
“oh” so tight.

When a mother shows her heart there is no greater love.  You have penned a beauty not only in verse but in YOUR soul and YOUR heart.  This is one to treasure forever by not only you but to ALL parents as there truely is NO greater gift than that of being able to feel the love for the ones we bring into this world.

Hi Everyone,

Well I knew the day was coming when my little babies would face some really big proublems, and this is going to be a big challenge for me to keep the tight relationship that we all have. I always want then to know that No Matter WHAT they can still come to me and I will always be there for them. We  have always tried to have the up most in communication with each other because that is what I thought was the most importain thing raising children and so far it has worked but I think were going to be really tested now, thank you so much for all of your kind thought in reguards to this poem.

Love, Cerenity

Cerenity- I think the mark of a good mother (and father) is that, by loving their children with everything they have, they provide them with the tools they need to make it in the world on their own.  You've shown your wisdom in admitting his loss is something he will have to work through, and in showing you understand why that is.  By allowing him to do this, you strengthen his belief in himself, and thereby reaffirm your belief in him.

Wonderfully expressed Cerenity! Although I do not have children of my own, I've watched my parents sit helplessly by as they watched siblings try to make it through love and heartaches in the big world. If you don't mind, I'd love to forward this to my mom ... I know she will appreciate these genuine, heartfelt words, as I do!

Best wishes,
/Kit

This was so sincere. A Mothers Love is like no other. When our children hurt we do too. The best we can do for them is to be there for them in their need.

This was beautiful and full of love. I guess little boys don't stay little forever......as much as we would like them to. A beautiful write.......for the beauty is from your heart.
Warm smiles and I hope he heals......

I still remember my first love lost and how hard it was to deal with.  My mother kept her distance and let me work on it for a while.  All along, I never doubted that she was there for me.  When I finally couldn't take it any longer, she held me 'Oh, so tight".
Thank you for bringing this back to me in such a perfect poem.

My mother's son,

Trev.

Hi kitkat,Jenn,Trew,

Thank you all so much, he's always been my baby and now well he is such a man and that is kind of scarey.

Love, Cerenity

Came by to print this to send to my children for them to share with their mother.  I just thought you should know how much love you show in this and though her and I are not together anymore....there could never be a more deserving woman to have the two beautiful souls that we brought into this world.  SO thank you from me, from her, and from my two angels....Amanda and Adam....yesterday was Adam's birthday and this is going to make a great follow present to him.

Cerenity-I have a 9 year old boy and a very sensitive one at that, I ponder these thoughts as he grows, and only hope I can be there for him some day when he needs me like that.  Very beautiful and tender read.
