****Last week three young people were tragically taken from this earth in an auto accident. This is a eulogy for the son to his mom. A dear friend said the family was looking for one such as this. I couldn't find one, so I wrote one. I don't know whether the family will use it. But this reminded me of the death of my 17 y/o nephew and his mother (my sister).  Thank you for allowing me the space to post this. If for any reason you find it inappropriate please delete it.

Thanks

Dearest Mom,

I haven't left you mom
I'm right here at your side
I will always be with you
I reside within you

I'm in your heart and memories
You've given so much of yourself
To help me become your son
That can't and won't ever change.

I know that you miss me mom
But I am right here with you
In your heart and your soul
We are truly inseparable.

Anytime you feel lonely
Know that I am here for you
As you were always there for me
You gave me the gift of life

I never will forget how
You've taught me so much
I am lucky to have you
We need never say goodbye.

I love you mom!

I think you did a beautiful job on this and I am sure that they will appreciate you forever.  It is times like these that make us realize that each and everyday is one not to waste.  Your heart is one of beauty and my prayers to them ,to you, and to all those to whom you have had to say till in heaven we meet again.

Thank you Mark. When I read your comments it helped me to believe that what I write is worthwhile.  Thank you

Now why would anyone want to delete this? It throws you off to hear of a bad car wreck. But then again, it makes you even more relieved when you see a wreck that should have been bad and wasn't...

startin_fresh, a beautiful piece, as of yet I have lost anyone close to me but my brother knows a family well who lost their eldest son in a car accident. My thoughts and prayers are with the family your poem was written for also for the loved ones that you have lost.
