Wake Up Call

Early in the morning, as the sun is peeking through,
I climb out of bed, I go to the kitchen
And start making some brew.

I jump in the shower and get all lathered up.
When creeping up the stairway this odor gently erupts.

The fresh delicious smell of coffee suddenly appears
setting my mind and taste buds a whirl.
I dress very quickly, and down the
stairs I come with a bound, my poor hair does not a curl.

I sit at the table and take a wonderful sip,
my coffee and I have been on many a trip.
We often travel over land and sea.
for you see, my love is not with me and may never be.
I usually have to travel alone,
just my coffee and me.

Sounds like my mornings...lol....as it is today my love and I have to share a cup of coffee every morning over the phone and it usually ends up with a second pot being made.  Soon though very soon.  I am sorry that your morning sips are alone but I am sure that someday they will be shared and that is my wish for you.

DiDi~
Gal, you're talking my language with that cup of brew.

However, I have to have my first cup BEFORE
the bath. (or while relaxing in it)
Just know that you're sharing your coffee with most of us !

Mark

Thanks for stopping by and I am glad that you will soon have company with your morning coffee.  It is the only way to fly.

Marge:

Thanks for asking me to share my coffee with all of you.  I appreciate it.

Cute. I have a coffee cup and it says on it... Morning starter fluid. Everyone laughs when they see it. Some mornings are just that way, though.

Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go.

Well, I don't know what I would do
Without my early cup of brew.
I am considered pretty mean
Until I taste that coffee bean.
Coffee fulfills my morning dream
With sugar and a little cream
And, to make my pleasure very large
I sip it in the bath - with Marge!

Love it, didi!
