       “THE ANGER WITHIN”

I’m angry as sin, perhaps angrier I be,
      a tore heart within me,
             feels like it’s breaking…
I believe that this tactless act, that you would do,
to want to take away from me,
             is so unforgiving…

There is nothing wrong, in having a good friend,
      one that I can like,
             and care some about…
And one that can make me, put on a smile,
when all I wanted to do,
             was go around and pout…

I found in my life, a fulfillment that I love,
      but in your heart,
you’re just too jealous to see…
That all you do, and what you are doing,
      is slowly but surely,
             destroying me…

Go ahead and try it, if that’s your will,
the first or the last time,
             it probably won’t be…
I write, as a single, poems of sweetness,
      loves adorning words,
for all the world to see…

It’s not a sin to cherish, and write as I do,
      to make people smile,
             or maybe even to cry…
I love what I do, and I love to write for all,
you must give me a chance,
for all I can do is try…

But whatever is deep, within your heart,
      you’re trying your best,
             to take it away…
Please don’t, because it’s a sin what you do,
      and the good Lord above,
will most surely have you pay…

So, I will write what’s inside me, as a single or in pairs,
as my weeping heart pours out,
             that inside I’m so aimless…
And right now it cries, with so very much pain,
if only it could be happy again,
             with all of its gentleness…

Oh Bill...jealousy is such a hateful emotion...and when its unfounded its even worse. I hope you can work things out and that she understands the true meaning of friendship

Please do continue to write from the heart and say what you feel.  Sometimes it helps to do so especially when you hurt like this.  I sincerely hope that she sees what you offer and can accept it for what it is.  Excellent writing from your depths

Bill, what an excellent format, the layout of this one must have taken deep thought...and the message brings savage emotion, it must have been purged from the same emotion. Nicely done, friend!

Hello Bill...
I know what that anger feels like, as I have felt it, too.  If you love something, then you have to find a way to do it, regardless of what anyone thinks.  I wish you all the best.......

A wonderful poem, Bill.  It gave me a perspective that I am not used to.  I am a die hard romantic, but also have a jealous streak a mile wide.  I purposely hide that emotion for exactly the reasons you have cited:  It is wasteful and hurtful and it is unfair.  Never let your heart be silenced.

Hi passing shadows,
Welcome, it's nice that you could come by. The format did take some thought, and I'm very glad that you like it. I'll probably use it again in the near future. Thank you for the considerate comments.

Hi Sunny,
Yes, anger is one powerful emotion, one that I do not like, but at times have felt. Like in this writing. Thank you very much for your kind comments, and for coming by.

Bill I kindof think that jealous people are selfish and don't listen properly to others opinions...they are too wrapped up in their own little world...they just don't have the ability to listen and understand....James

Bill,
this powerful piece screams the pain you must have felt. It's a good poem and yes "tactless" jumps out at me too. Keep writing.
Be well

Bill, I admire the candor with which you are able to express such acute emotions. Take care, my friend.

Jealously can be so destructive. I pray things work out in your situation.  I know how hard it is to deal with.  Hugs my friend.

Don't let it get you down and please continue to write your wonderful poetry for all to see.

It's too bad, isn't it?...People just don't understand that jealousy has a way of making their greatest fears come true... It drives others away... Such a fruitless emotion it is..

Nice work here, my friend..

Hi tracie66,
Yes, it did come straight from the deepest recesses of my heart. Painful at times, but knowing that it will pass, as it has many times before. Thank you for your kind words, I do appreciate them. And Tracie, I will continue to do what I love.

Hi Beth,
Thanks Beth, for coming by and for your most considerate words. Thinks will be better, as I must believe that.

Hello Nan,
Yes Nan, your words are words of wisdom that some people just don't understand. And it has to be one of the most unforgiving emotions their is. It destroys, instead of builds. Thanks again Nan.

Bill-
Hope that soon your pain and anger will be
A faded part of a memory.
You write so well and continue to touch.
Your words and heart say so very much.
Hope your day in peace will end.

Thank you for your consideration and kind words that you have written. This will pass, as it must, and I will go on. Perhaps a better person, I don't really know, but I hope so. Thanks very much Gemini.
