"BOOK OF POEMS"

When I am happy and have a song in my heart,
my book of poems is there, ever
ready to give me a good start.

It has a red cover with gold lined sheets,
and I study the pages carefully one by one, looking
for stories and versus, to make my day complete.

There are poems of rainbows, streams, and trees,
of rain and birds, and the gentle breeze.
Poems of the moon and stars, with fantasies galore,
stories of love and giving, that would make
anyone's heart, just ask for more.

So - take all your medicines, and
throw them away.
I have my book of poems to help me
make it, through the day.

Absolutely, didi! More ills can be cured by a good poem than a ton of pills!!! I'm with you.....

DiDi~
I LOVE IT !
Why take a chill pill -
when you can take a poetic moment ?

Of course, some days I overdose !
But then I live to tell about it in the next chapter of verse.

Enjoyed this little smiler, gal.

I have a book of poetry by my desk, given to me by Denise, and I look at it every day, just to make my heart sing
This is a lovely poem and so close to my heart
