tell me would you please? is there friendship? after intamacy? for you I would get down on my knees... could there be? i looked into your eyes you set my soul at ease... you are not like all the others tell me... now that we are lovers... what would happen? if it all fell apart do you think you could handle us... still being friends? because i think... there is something here between us... sweet like a high school crush... but baby we grew up we should know not to rush... and last night... i emptied my soul while you gazed at me and you're afraid you'll get to close but you say... you can't keep away... i don't want you too.. i just want you... and i pray it never grows old and we don't need to say to have and to hold... i don't want to stay so weary of you.. i want to be ready for what ever may come around we're not sure when to make that move and we've got time please don't say those words too soon ruin what could be a good thing one step one minute one embrace one kiss at a time soothing our souls remembering how to be whole and last night i emptied my soul while you gazed at me and you're afraid you'll get to close but you say... you can't keep away... i don't want you too.. i just want you... and i pray it never grows old and we don't need to say to have and to hold so i rested my head i must have drifted off i smelled you so close to me i felt you touching my skin so lightly and i searched for your shadow and you reached for my hand trying to tell me that you understand shedding my skin wearing my heart outside of my body you saw it in all of it's shame a heart that's played too many foolish games and i don't deserve you but i believe you know my soul my mind racing like an anxious child and you listen getting to know myself again you erased all of my pain then you replaced it with your warmth and i don't want you to keep away i just want you to hold you to feel you to need you to breath you in and i will pray for us that this never grows old... (soft whispers) you set my soul at ease you set my soul at ease you set my soul at ease (fading out...) Julie :) |

Wow~ sounds like you made a love connection last night. Hope you don't rush into things. Sounds like you are *trying* to be cautious. Again, WOW! Time flies? Say it not so, time stays we go. |

Cuddlez~~actually...not too many "LOVE" connections in my recent history book....just alot of inspiration i guess...but let me tell you....this one IS a keeper!! even if we end up "just" friends...we are both going through things in our lives and i guess we are just what eachother needs right now.....we are just sort of enjoying the time we have right now....so enough about that,,,,before it turns into a BOOK!! thank you for reading and replying i am glad you liked it,,,,, Mark~~yes i fall "IN LOVE" every second....just a damn sucker for romance I guess.......LOL but I know how to separate the trash from the treasure I hope!!! thank you for reading.... Julie :) |

Julie... I feel the song in this!! What a great poem, and thought. You did it again!!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |
