She was a silver-lining poet,
A sunny-souled young bard.
She couldn't be unhappy,
Though she tried to, very hard.

She wrote of birds and blossoms
And sunshine on the waves.
She wasn't drawn to misery,
Murder, mental wards and graves.

Her verses were not read much.
There was something in their style
That made them less than poetry.
You see, she made her readers smile.

Here's hoping she never loses her ability to be a silver lining poet-*s*.
