An Ivory Moon

Before the day awakened

fully

we found ourselves

breathless

beneath an ivory moon.

Translucent almost,

it shone

just for us,

morning's mantle

placed just so,

bathed only

in radiant

reflection

of our own

luminous

glow.

The replies I get tell me I write "hot" but if anyone were to ask me what I think is 'hot' This would be a prime example-. Perhaps it is not the best choice of words for so sensuous a piece - but I only know how it affects me. - now when you're ready for a few more paragraphs - I will tell you how lovely it is...

Heather, your "wow" gave me this smile...thank you!

Melissa, thank you so much for your encouraging response!

Mark, I have a feeling it just may have been that very same moon. Enchanting, wasn't it? Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed reading!

Bill, I must thank you, in earnest, for your gracious commentary. To my way of thinking, passion can be expressed in so many ways...thank you for so kindly endorsing my simple style.

Denise, your approval of this piece is very much appreciated...thank you!

Sven, one of the many wonders of poetry is just that, I believe...transporting the reader into a suggested scene. Thank you so much for "going there" and your sweet words to me, my friend...
