Watching the fire die down
I am lucky I don't live in a town
For there I could not sit on my porch
And watch a fire in my backyard
Just me, some lemonade and my dog
What more could I wish for
Company...not a chance
For on this day
All I am going to do is play
All I long for is
Peace in my little world
Quiet for my mind
A comfortable chair for my behind
And the company of my girl
As the world around me turns dark
A kind of hush has fallen
Not even the dogs are barking
The bird have stopped their singing
All is quiet in my little world
Now if I only had some.....
Marshmallows

Alan~
Oh, great ...
here I sit with no marshmallows
and you've made me VERY hungry !
I'll bet the sun doesn't go down tomorrow night
without a big bag of 'em !

Sounds like you enjoy the same quiet and
serene country living that I do.
Thanks for sharing.

How relaxing! Now I am ready for some marshmellows and a nice fireplace on a cool autumn night.

Alan, a very simple and enchanting recount of a lovely end~of~day's scene. Peaceful, to be sure.
