Just as the spider spins its web,
In many ways, so do we.
Unlike the spider, we get caught up.
Then struggle to get free.
Tangled in our misery,
with total discontent,
And as the years go by,
We wonder where they went.

So very much like the spider,
We're never satisfied.
Beautiful webs for others to see,
But what are we hiding inside?
It's beauty on the inside that counts.
Not what others may see.
Become untangled from within,
And from the webs we'll be set free.

If you can't make it so,
you need to let it go!

A gifted poet I am not BETH! In reality I
am just a woman that writes the feelings
that are concealed within me.
But Thank you for saying it anyway...

WOOOO..For some reason my head feels awful BIG! ;-) ;-)

Butterflies_dont_cry

It's funny how we spin our webs then moan and groan when we can't free ourselves.
The turmoils I felt was the inspiration
for this poem. It was very sweet of you to read it and comment.

very nice flow in this poem, Kitty (grrr, I'm gettin' that ornery kitty-kickin' twitch again - lol).  I like the metaphor for the way we get ourselves tied up and lose the focus we really need.

LOL...
WITH HACKLES RAISED, AND A TWITCHING OF MY TAIL I SAY:
LngJhnAg, if you knew me you wouldn't be so inclined to get the 'kitty-kicking' twitch...
Guaranteed!!!
Love all and trust me...;-)

Kitty,
I loved the contrast between us & the spider, that we get tangled in the webs we weave. And the lesson that the more elaborate our web, the more difficult it might be to extricate ourselves.

Very nicely done

The statement you made:
"That the more elaborate our web, the more difficult it might be to extricate ourselves" is so true!
That was the meaning behind my poem and you said it perfectly!! THANKS BUNCHES!! ;-)
