A poem for my oldest daughter.

Kim

I tried to write a poem of Kim
But love was all I found within
It filled my heart it filled my mind
So there was nothing left to find.

I searched and searched to find a door
To open and to find some more
But every nook and cranny found
Was fully crammed and fully sound.

When all at once it came to me
The answer was so plain to see
I'd borrow on my future time
However I could ring her chime.

There, I found a world of stars
From each new act that would be ours.
I searched to see where echoes lie
And savored them, as they flew by.

Thus I've flown the abyss of time
Made love of now and future mine.

The tenderness of a father to his daughter is so very moving to me and has always been something I have longed to be a part of. Seymour, you've written this so beautifully for her, and I have felt every word.

Beautifully done for a beautiful daughter.  I recently posted one for my daughter and after I was through, I ran a copy of it and framed it for her.  She loved it.  Daughters are cherished angels.

A father's love, the perfect tree
from seed a daughter Kim would be
and when he looked to find her there
he found her instead everywhere

Sy, I loved this poem...it touched my heart!
