Listen to the music as it plays within your heart,
a resonance of gladness, in which words have no part.
Follow on the music, as it leads you in the dance
of life and lust and hope and grace and above all romance.

Listen to the music as it ebbs and swells again,
rising to crescendo within the lives of men.
Follow on the music, to find the greater plan
as you swirl and dip and prance and glide and all with fine elan.

Listen to the music as it sings within your head
to give you dreams of tenderness while you're within your bed.
Follow on the music, as it comfort whispers soft
while you shake and move and change the world, with dreams held high aloft.

Listen to the music as the tarnished world fades
and within your life you hear rousing accolades
Follow on the music through streams and boughs and glades
And take with you a song of hope into the world of shades.

but it is the loss that shapes the image,
gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-

Such a wonderful poem this one with a clear ringing message....

I LOVE MUSIC... I LOVE MUSIC... I DO ...

regards O Kethry,
sudhir.
P.S. somehow, I am tempted to listen to the song "Music is my first love... and it will be my last"...

Wow, this is great.  I eat, sleep, drink and breathe music so I especially enjoyed this.

Kethry~
Oh, the lovely music floats through the
fresh dawning of this day.

*But ... but ... the poet just HAS to put words to his music !
Or music to his words !

Thanks for sharing, my friend.

Beautifully done Kethry. If I close my eyes I can almost hear music, oh sorry that's not music, it's the kids stereo.

Mona Lisa, thank you for your reply. Glad you enjoyed the song.

Marge-I think both, but sometimes the words are all in your head and you make them up to the music as you go along. Sometimes the words make their own music. I think that's what poetry is.

Severn thank for the kind response.

Dee, don't worry about the stereo, the music plays despite the distraction of reality.

Be well
Kethry.

Wonderful theme to this poem. When you follow your heart, it is like music telling you which dance to do
Very well written

Kethry -

When I listen to the music, why do I imagine you in the video???  And why is the video kept out of reach of minors???  *veg*  Great theme, and the flow was pretty smooth too!

Liz, thank you for your kind comments and for hearing the song.

LJA it's because you are warped and twisted and there is no hope of redemption for you. Also because I'm getting under your skin.

Sunny1  so glad you stopped by to listen.

Martie,
thank you for your kind words. I believe life is a song, sometimes it's an anthem sometimes it's a dirge but always AMAZING!

Marsha, thank you for stopping by and listening. I hope it made your feet dance a little.

Nando, thanks for hearing the music.
