The Tempest

She let loose her pain in my arms
that of knowing and not wanting to say
to utter those words we both felt there
the ones that let us drift away.
Not because of anger nor temperment souls unrest
simply completed what thoughts we had done
and found our love strained though still won.
Of times we could remember with smiles
rides along the coast on dazzeling tides
or my childrens faces that brighten my day
as they kiss my cheek and go their way.
These all will remain deep in my soul
as to will my love for this woman I know
while we begin a new chapte in our lives
our friendship must gorw stronger in hard times.
For now we hold onto what we can
those morning hopes at our command
as we simplify our drastic pace
and learn how to love, in a new way.

The Eve of Hopes

A beauty of dark eyes and skin
looking radiant from across the room
and the power for which she did hold
completed me and filled my soul.
That first eve bliss that we shared
of passions unfurled in sweat and lips
was more than we both understood
as our heart became one in evenings gold.
We melted into a single source of light
from which the night became our lives
and sacred moments turned to love
that filled our bodies dreams made of.
It is this that I shall always keep
within my hearts rythm as it beats
as everytime I see her eyes
all of her love shall flood my mind.

MichaelG~
This is so tender that it reaches a fragile ache.

Very tenderly penned.
